The first healer we really knor, was Jesus Christ. Even though eastern traditions knew the concept of healig, Jesus was the man, send by God, who could channel devine energy to a a person by laying his hands on the body, and make a disease disappear. This is told in the bible, and in many figures of Jesus, he reaches out his hand in the air.
The same things is happening in the figure of the medicine budda, who has one hand with upside palm to point forward, while the other one is holding a jar with herbs.
Of course healers is not devine persons in this way, but what they do is channeling energy fro, the divine, which is avaiable for the person to receive the healing.
And that is very important for a healer to look upon themselves as a channel, and to be aware of keeping this purification clean.
Becourse the ego is in the way, the ego is always in the way, becourse you can look upon the ego as the lower aspects af the man on the earth, and when the ego is in charge, it pollutes the channel, which is used by the divine. At the same time, this purification can be quite difficult, becourse the purification proces usually takes you through demonic areas in youself, which can be quite difficult to deal with, and oftes will try to cheat you to follow the ways of the ego.
Often peoples say; I`m a very good healer, and that way, they are seduced by the ego, becouse it is not "them" its a higher energy, that chooses to use them os a tool in some mysterious way, and if they begin to play too much ego trip on this, it might have charmic consequenses, they will not understand in their next life, unless tehy become vey aware of their situation and the connection between acting and its consequenses.
Healing is a matter og listening into the body and the personality in an aware and intuitive way. The more the healer can put aside his og her feelings ond just be present for the person in font of them, while they let the passion of the heart work, the wore here will arise a communion beteen the healer and the person whos is about to receive healing.
