It was on my 18th birthday, and remains the best present I've ever received. Immediately afterwards, I sent him a letter, to which he responded, personally, in less than a week, enclosing 2 personalised signed photos. He's not only a remarkable method actor, but an inspirational, human, and generally nice man. I don't get starstruck (ever!) but would love to meet David, and, as an actor struggling to make it, to work with him.
