Amager Badminton Club was elected "Youth club of the year" in May 2015
by DGI.
ABC's youth section is known for great solidarity and comradeship, talented coaches and a "hyggelig" atmosphere. In ABC you can become a great badminton player, a good team mate, get new friends and have great experiences on and outside of the court.
Roughly 100 kids and adolescents between 7-19 years old play badminton in ABC. Our dedicated coaches arrange fun, exciting, technical/tactical and cardiobased trainings.
There is room for everybody. We have trainings for those who wants to for fun and great comradship, and trainings for those who wish to see how far talent and ambition will bring them.
We offer training at least once a week. Training hours for kids are spread on to weekday afternoons between 2.30 pm and 5.50 pm.
Sunday from 11 am to 12, we have a miniton for kids aged 4-7, where the training is organised, so the children will play with a parent.
The clubs biggest talents have the option to train four times a week and with the possibility of individual training.
The youth committee (USU) is comprised of a group of parents and coaches, that organize the sporting events an social activities such as focus tournaments, parent-child tournament, movie night and of course seasonal events such as our big christmas- and ed of season event.
We focus on a healthy training environment, where the sport and the social part go hand in hand.
USU is represented in the club's board.
