In badminton, you can sign up for open tournaments all over the country, not matter what your level of playing is. However, it is advicable to talk to your coach and ask, if they feel you are ready.
It's fun to come out and play, and it really improves you game to have some real matches under your belt.
 
 
How to sign up for tournaments
You have to find and sign up for the tournaments you want to participate in yourself, and take care of the payment.
 
You sign up at www.badmintonpeople.dk.
  1. On the right on the screen there is sign up field. After filling it out, you will receice a mail with your login information
  2. When you are logged in, create a new player profile under 'Spillere' on the left side of the screen.
  3. Buy a player license. You will have to pay for that yourself. (U9 players and D-rank players of all ages doesn't need a license].
  4. Under the menu item 'Min spilllerprofil', you can see what year and row you belong to.
  5. Under the menu item 'Turnering' you can find tournaments available for you by clickinh 'Tilmeld Turnering'. Enter year and row to search.
  6. Select which categories  you want to play. If you want to play doubles but don't have a partner, you can sign up wutg 'x-makker', which means that the organizers will set you up with a player from a different club.
Focus tournaments
Every year the cliubs coaches chooses two focus tournaments. The goal is that as many as possible get out and have some great experiences together and get excellent match training.
At these tournaments both your coaches and team mates will be there as well. You will be notified about the focus tournaments at the weekly trainings.
