My second day in Penang I spent in Penang National Park which is the smallest National Park in Malaysia - Nonetheless it is still pretty big. After a visit in the National Park I did a little sightseeing in the old part of Georgetown which has so much atmosphere but is not particularly pretty so tried taking photos of the atmosphere rather than the sights and houses themselves since they really weren't of much interest.

The photos below are from my trek to Monkey beach (which due to the rain didn't actually have any monkeys - very disappointing after 1½ trekking)
I saw this path and thought the trek was going to be a piece of cake - Luckily I didn't know what was waiting ahead :)
After 5 minutes the easy path ended and I was faced with this for the remaining 4 km.
Still energetic though....
And the trek was worth it - Monkey beach (even without monkeys) was a really lovely place
It might not look very sunny but we still had 35 degrees and the sun was still burning through the clouds and haze

Walking is fine but why walk when you can jetski???? Jetskied 20 minutes down along the coast back to the park entrance - It was AMAZING!!!
Back in Georgetown it was time for a little walk - followed lonely planet's walk through the old part of town and while there were lots of specific buildings mentioned I decided to take photos of the street life going on instead
