Song of the week
WEEK 8:
LOTUS FLOWER
by RADIOHEAD
 
I hope you already know about Radiohead?
Radiohead is an English band which make indie. I would almost call it kind of psycedellic. Many bands all over the world are inspired by and trying to make music just like Radiohead. But nothing as pure as the original, right?
 
This is their new single from the album THE KING OF LIMBS.
If honestly  think I'm going to buy it. Just because Radiohead made it. It must be good.
 
Notice Thom Yorke's kind of awkward dance throughout the video to this song. Awesome! Weird! I love it! And the hat! Oh the hat makes it twice as awesome!
 Seriously - everyone should know Radiohead. I think that everyone who have found themselves and learned to understand the beauty of stuff as music deeply appreciate the work of this band.
The video is almost the best part of this song, though (imo) !
WEEK 7:
KIDS DON'T FIGHT
by JONAS BJERRE
 
Jonas Bjerre, known for his appearance as front singer and guitarist in Mew, has written all the music for the movie by Rune Schjøtt called SKYSCRAPER. The movie should be showned in Denmark this May.
So this bright song really show us Jonas' brilliant voice.
He is knowned for his light pitches but is overall an awesome artist. He is also one of the four in the project more than a band - Apparatjik. This March Apparatjik has an event in Berlin called The Light Space Modulater. (or something like that.)
 
I could go on and talk about Jonas Bjerre forever and always, as MEW is my favourite band.
 
There's a trailer out for SKYSCRAPER now. Also, go visit Jonas Bjerre's own website.
If you don't know MEW already you should definitely give them a listen! Even if you don't like this song, because the influence of the other members really does matter.
 
 
 
 
WEEK 6:
WHAT BECAME OF YOU AND I?
by TREEFIGHT FOR SUNLIGHT
 
Indiepop is quite in these days in Denmark and this band plays it with a complex yet happy and light sound.
The popish indie sets the genre of A  COLLECTION OF VIBRATIONS FOR YOUR SKULL which is the four guys debutalbum.
Three of the guys are singers in the band beside playing their instruments. Personally, I think it's a good idea which make them able to play with a variated sound in their songs.
You should also give FACING THE SUN a listen, as it was the first single of the debut album, which was released in 2010.
 
The album have been critical acclaimed. Check out this review where they was given 9/10.
