Yesterday I managed to catch a goal that ended up giving me a profit of 4681 Kr on the Watford – Man City match.
Man City was behind 1-0 and trading at odds 32. I didn't catch this one, in fact I got caught on the lay-side when this goal occurred but later when Man City scored to 1-2, I managed to back that goal big time, netting me a profit of 4681 Kr So how do you catch goals like this?
To catch something like this you first need to understand the mentality about football and what is going on in the players heads during the game. Being a former football player I know that a game over 90 minutes Is a roller-coaster of emotions. I am trying to get around all of them on my blog by writing articles and one day when I get the time to it, I will write about this one also, but for now, I will give it a short mention. If a team like Man City is behind 1-0, with everything to lose, suddenly go from being down 1-0 to scoring the equalizer to 1-1, wouldn't that change the teams overall mentality immediately? Of course. With the game being 1-1 and Man City not being satisfied with a draw, a goal like this in the last few minutes would give them a boost of confidence. Like if someone whispered to the team: “Why not one more?”
And that it exactly what happened.
But imagine being Watford in this scenario. You had 3 points, you just had to keep that result for 10 more minutes, but no, you lost 2 points. 10 more minutes only! And now they have to be satisfied with only 1 point. I think a team like Watford would be more than satisfied with 1 point against City, if you had asked them before the match. But because of how the match evolved, I don't think 1 point feels as good as it could have. Therefore going from having 3 point to only having 1, would mean that the confidence and the overall morale of the team would drop. Imagine a giant like City with a confidence boost taking on a wounded animal like Watford with low morale. I guess you can do the math from here. What is more likely to happen next is a storm from City which could lead into a goal. And that what happened.
I'm not saying you need to predict the future to be able to catch goals like these, but you need to try and predict the likely-hood of something happening so you have some guidelines you can trade after and trust me your results in trading will be much better.
