This website started out as a workshop assignment for journalists who were getting ready to go to Denmark for the first semester of the 2009 Erasmus Mundus Masters programme on Media and Globalisation.

The assignment was simple: Write an article about an individual or organisation in your country taking action on climate change.  The individual or organisation could be from all sectors in society.

This approach to covering climate change is not widely used in mainstream media but perhaps it should be. These articles from all corners of the world show that many people around the globe are in fact taking practical steps to build awareness and help us all with ideas for how to live in a world that must address the effects of climate change.

Collectively, the articles are a source of inspiration and hope, and we decided to make them available to the world on a website.
