My first tripI remember once...
I just finished high school. I friend called and ask if I wanted to be
part of his interrail journey through Europe for a month by train. I
had 24 hours or so to pack my things and get ready. In a kind of sudden
madness I said yes and didn't hardly know where to find the money, get
visa and that kind of stuff. But I managed and we went of for Europe...
on our way through Europe we changed plans and ended up in Turkey
sailing from Greece. As a Turk I had some problems but we fixed them
and came to the Turkish cities. We also ended up in Bodrum - but stayed
there only for a lunch! We couldn't afford to stay there for longer
time. It was so expensive we felt... But what I remember was the white
houses of Bodrum. In Antalya I found Mazhar Fuat Özkan's music, a
friend introduced me to MFÖ, and I fall in love with it and there song
Bodrum, Bodrum and many more. I still listen to there lovely music and
remember... Later I found out that lot's of Turkish artists hang out in
Bodrum. They have there own "place" but I haven't been there yet...
Years
has past. Another friend wanted us to buy a house/apartment in Turkey.
After years of "no's" from me we finally got a place in Gümüslük called
Seaside Residence. Each time we are there... it feels like paradise...
