Poem: Sentences aloud

Written by Nina

Sentences Aloud

Behold and fear
the enemies of reigning fire
the partaking of the mind
but not the heart.

Seize the wicked in vain
for behold - the gate is open
yet they do not know the presence
they do not seek the living
and sentences aloud, but dead
clean cut, but lazy
will devour me like dust
cradle me softly insane
until things untold
will close my eyes in hate.

In lust and love alike
things that trick the worried mind
the hands in folded blindness
the wind and seed alive
leaving my eyes destroyed
while one on one we fall
and sentences aloud, but dead
words clean cut, but lazy
craving my last of sanity
their voices sound like one.

Behold and fear
messy eyes follow the master
the word derived from sin
making pure hearts dark.
