I have spent the last week since new years in bed with a really bad cold followed by a even worse pneumonia. Actually I am a bit depressed, feeling sorry for myself since this everlasting cold does not to let go of me. My topic for this weeks greeting is therefore somehow yet unclear, cause how can I possibly encourage and be a spiritual inspirator when I myself am feeling this low. Hmm well maybe todays topic could be upon the fact that however psychic and mediumistic we may be "we" are still just like "you". Did that sound odd? Yes I think it did.
Nevertheless, a lot of psychics and the folks that consult them, have a tendency to put the psychics closer to God so to speak...and we are not. Oh no we are so totally not in any way or form.
I see it all around. Flourishing big time amongst those who do my field of work. Its a trap cause it can be a nice place to be? And the clients like to put the high profile psychics up on a piedestal cause then someone can take a load off for a while. Even if it is just a commonly shared illusion, It feels good. Like a entity in its own right. A symbiotic "win win" concept. But its not true, its false. Psychics are merely someone who have practiced their abilities more than someone else. Thats it. Bam.
So how did this mistake appear in the first place? I dont know but I have a theory.
First of all being spiritual has nothing to do with having abilities. When you develop mediumship and psychic abilities you are naturally by the very nature of it getting a closer connection with your own spirit, through which the communication aspect of mediumship is facilitated.
Therefore the personal development as a result naturally speeds up. That means in normal words that you are being confronted with say your life?. Your choices manifested etc. Are you in the right flow of things or could it be things are stagnating inside and around you? Could it be that you are staying with someone you actually dont love anymore or you are bored with your worksituation or your place of residence?.
Now your spirit is built in such a way that it does not allow us to close our eyes for things that could be changed for the betterment of the whole condition called your life. So what we as developing mediums often are called upon, is to take a closer look and make those changes nessesairy to move onward our destined paths. So as an extra benefit you have an opportunity to develop spirituality as well as develpoing your mediumship.
However sometimes the stuff that can surface when in development can be a bit painfull to confront, embrace and take responsability. Some folks are not able nor ready and they close off for this part of themselves but still they want to stay as one of theese spiritually evolved human beings who can guide their fellowman and connect to the other worlds. (...that their fellowmen cannot reach btw.)
This is a problem. Cause when you choose to cut off the light from your own source (spirit & creator) in order not to see the stuff in your own dark corners, you actually loose the connection and block your abilities.
It is here I find it a bit problematic to watch some colleagues that seem to have misunderstood the whole concept of being in service of spirit. Please dont think I am only pointing fingers here cause I myself cannot see me free from a bit of hypocracy now and then.
In order to be a balanced medium I truly believe that we sometimes need to take a trip into the darker corners of ourselves to sweep and clean the closets. Turning the small stones as well as the big so that our instrument can be fine tuned once more.
I often hear students and colleagues saying: I feel so sad. It is as if my abilities has vanished. I dont feel spirit as I used to?. Etc. My answer is: Dont worry. It is natural. When the psyche has to process stuff the abilities take a minor step to the background but only temporarily so that you have the time out for your energy to process something important, in order to become and stay whole and balanced as a person and return as a stronger psychic medium. (Healed.) You will find that when the connection returns it is even stronger and sharper than before.
So what I am trying to say here is that as psychic mediums our emotions are our gold. Without the high peaks and deep valleys that the waves of this everflowing river takes us through, we cannot provide the evidence and the presence of spirit that is needed in real good quality mediumship.
Therefore we sometimes need to step back without fear for a bit of mainentance of this very faculty that allows us to brings forth the spark and uniqueness in our work as psychics, mediums and offcourse as human beings first and foremost.
