Visit the islands in the fjord Nakskov
Slotø, with castle ruins Engelsborg which has a very exciting story full of drama and memories from the Middle Ages. The island also has a very dramatic incident from World War 2 with a dressing-down to Koreakrigen.Kuddekolm contains the remains of the only redoubt from Swedish war in 1658 when the Swedes besieged Nakskov.Albuen empty houses are of a herring market medieval ca.1430. Additionally you can still see the old fishermen's houses and the last lynx house is now renovated as a museum. Facilities include a superb flora and faunasom not seen many other places. Vejlø is one of the smallest islands in Denmark is still cultivated. To the north is one of fjoldens best bird areas.

Vejrø ... lies furthest out in Småland. On the island you can see some of the houses that remain. The school, grocery store, the lighthouse with housing for the employees. Other places are empty of ancient pride farms. In the cemetery you can read who was on the island. Out along the north coast we find remains of Iron Age settlements and people's meals. The island is incredibly beautiful with hard shores where the sea eats up the coast and sheltered shores with reeds along the bank. If you have visited Vejrø will never forget it - it will always be left with images of beauty, but also with a sad echo of the little community here was ruined
