www.tradebetfair.com Busy days!15-11-2011 13:31 A lot of busy days during November and December as always, means that the planning has to be extra good these months!
Its not that busy trading days, but a lot of work outside my little trading world, means that i have to stay on my tip-toes. Christmas and new year also comming up so i am already buying the christmas gifts that i have to!
But there is one great race that i am really looking forward to in a couple of days, the Betfair chase with Long Run in the main role in Haydock the 19th of November.
Already matched around 215.000 dkk, and i know this is going to be one of the biggest races for me before the cold december!
Grand Crus is back!11-11-2011 19:08 Todays big race was definitely the Grand Crus race at Cheltenham where there was a heads up between Cue Card and Grand Crus coming back after a lay off.
Unfortunatly we didnt get the race we hoped for because of Cue Card falling during the race, but it was very nice to see Grand Crus be back at a high level and i am looking forward to follow the beautiful white horse!
Some great liquidity in the market and some great trading! Discipline. My view.10-11-2011 20:58 When you start up trading, the first thing you do, is trying to find some info about the market. You google betfair trading, trading, how to trade anf watch million of videos about trading and other traders advice.
Almost everyone of them will at some point tell you that it is very important to have discipline when you trade! And since everyone is telling you this, most people dont sit down and think about what it really means to have discipline when trading.
When you say the word discipline, almost everybody combine it with taking your losses and dont gamble. Correct, that is an easy one to say. But what is discipline really and how much do i use it in my daily trading? Well here is my view on the word.
Well, discipline, or self-discipline as i prefer to look at it, means a lot in my daily trading. I have some techniques that really depend on me and that i am strong enough to stick to them. I know that my techniques work on paper, and most techniques do work on paper, the problem comes when you have to use them in real life. More than often people tend to look through some of the rules that the techniques are based on, and that is why most people fail or give up on them.
Remember, you can always condition your behaviour by visualizing it over and over again.
I know that most people have tried to gamble in trading. Sitting and hoping for the price to move their way without taking the loss as they should be doing.
Another Home again! Apartment purchased!3 Kommentarer 09-11-2011 11:42 So, as some of you may know, i am back home again.
After a great stay in NYC, i already miss it!
I was over to see the Churchill Downs derby, and to look at three apartments.
The Derby was great! What an experience to watch in live! And some great horses! Some of the good things on tracks like that, is that people are so friendly. You meet a lot of new people, and i have always been a big fan of having a lot of contacts.
I have also bought a new apartment on Lexington Avenue in the Upper East End, and i am VERY happy for this! Even though it cost a bit more than i expected, i m not sorry for spending some extra money on somethin that great!
Have a great day guys! I am back in DK again, so feel free to contact me by mail/twitter/Skype.
Mike With the right setup.....05-11-2011 22:16 You can trade from everywhere. And thank god for that!
I am in the states following the Derby at Churchill Downs, and looking for apartments, but a match on my checklist was on tonight, so why not trade it. Again, thank god i did! I got a new record this time, ive put up a video of the same screenshot on my youtube channel.
Follow people!
Taking a break... In NYC!03-11-2011 11:54 Well, we are at that time of year where my batteries are getting low. I have been working very hard for the last 4 months now since my last break, so i feel like getting away for a bit!
This time the plans are New York. I have been in New York a couple of times now, and have really fallen in love with the city! I have tired to buy a smaller apartment in NYC a couple of times now, but without luck. Havent still found what i am looking for.
So its not really a vacation, ive got some work to do. I have 3 apartments that i am going to look at, which looks good at the pictures and the price is perfect for me, so i hope i dont get dissapointed.
I will try to find time to blog while i am away. And i will try to be on Skype where i might have some more time for you guys. So feel free to contact me. I am back again around 11-12. November. Commitment!2 Kommentarer 02-11-2011 11:35 When you start up at Betfair, things are difficult! Everyone of us are on Betfair for one reason, and one reason only. MONEY!
Trading the exchanges has taken me through almost all of the feelings i can go through.
From joy and laughter, to deep deep frustration and anger!
When i started up trading, nothing was easy! I didnt have geekstoy 5 years ago, so i had to pay around 43 kr to get a 24-hour licens to Betangel, well aware off that it was an investement and that the money would come back some day if i worked hard enough.
I was 18 and still in school. The only thing i knew about Betfair at that point, was that you could back and lay, and that if you wanted to trade, you had to use some software such as Betangel.
I was aware of a lot of well known statistics about trading, such as only 5-10% of all traders are succesfull, around 80% of all traders quit after x months and so on.
But i wanted this! And i wanted it big time! So with no help from anyone, i had to take this journey on my own.
Being in school gave me around 2000 kr a month for living. Being 18, meant i only had 500 kr left after the 1st every month. (I tend to use it on clothes, parties and friends)
So i figured out, i could afford at least 10 times 24-hours licens to Betangel every month. And if i didnt managed to get my money back by trading, then that was it. Wait for next month.
After trying to trade the horses for a mon Aztec god VS. Horses31-10-2011 09:37 Yesterday we had a race where the Aztec god, Ueueteotl was competing against horses.
Ueueteotl was of course a horse, but a horse with a good name and a favourite. So how did the race end? Did the Aztec god win? Yes the god won!
(934.89 kr on this race alone, around 100 pound)
Commentators had huge problems pronouncing the name. You can give it a shout!
Wikipedia for Ueueteotl:
Busy weekend ahead. Footie screenshots.29-10-2011 11:55 As you may have noticed, i am not blogging that much during the weekend. The weekends always seems busy, (Friday-Saturday, nor so much Sunday.) So i thought i would post some screens of the last few days footie trading to enjoy for those of you who follow. I might be back either tomorrow if i get the time or on monday.
Happy trading and a great weekend to all of you!
Janko Fixarevic - Starace.3 Kommentarer 28-10-2011 13:33 Well, its not often that i trade tennis in-play, but thought i would give it a shot this morning as i had some pretty good stats on Tipsarevic.
But however, i didnt feel great trading in-play, and especially not Janko, that is also known as FIXAREVIC!
And there has been some questions about this game and that it might be a little to much for Tipsarevic, but personally, i think he is going to win it. I am hoping for a break by Starace, then it would be fun trading.
But anyway, i got in and out of the market as i wanted, so now i am waiting to see the result.
