CSR
At Hoffmann, we believe that business is the driving force that is needed to change and are crucial to solving social and environmental challenges through innovation and clearly defined policies. We believe that this is an important task, and this is why our development is based on a good balance between sustainability, social responsibility and economy.
Our goal is to offer the best available products in terms of quality and sensibly on social responsibility and environmental performance. We are committed and work continuously to meet this objective.
We are a member of the UN Global Compact, and thus is our Code of Conduct based on the 10 principles of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
As a complement to our policies and procedures, we have also prepared a manual on "Responsible Sourcing" on our requirements for social, quality and environmental issues in the supply chain.
It's important to us that our suppliers respect and comply with our requirements and the 10 principles described in the Global Compact. Therefore we communicate our requirements and code of conduct for our suppliers. We make it a requirement that suppliers also comply.
We are aware that environmental and social impacts can not be resolved immediately. We also know that the legal requirements are not always sufficient to resolve these problems. Therefore, we encourage our suppliers to go beyond the minimum required by law to enter into the Global Compact networks and by adopting credible ISO Type I certification schemes.

Environment
We are aware of the environmental impact that our products make throughout the entire life cycle. These impacts are from all parts of the supply chain in the production of fiber fabric to finished product. Therefore, we have prepared / developed specific environmental requirements aimed at our suppliers.
The goal of our environmental requirements is to reduce air, water and soil pollution and limit the use of chemicals and other products that are harmful to the environment and health. We require all our suppliers to meet their country's and the EU's legal requirements on the environment as a minimum. All suppliers must comply with the EU regulation on chemicals - known as REACH.
We encourage our suppliers to go beyond these legal requirements, informing them of the existing ISO Type I certification schemes and especially the EU Ecolabel and the Swan label so they can work towards a marking in accordance with the criteria laid down by them.
A number of our suppliers are EU Ecolabel and Oeko-tex100 certified.
