Association of Biology-Biotechnology students (FB) is a student political organization for students in the program "Biology-Biotechnology" at the Faculty of Life Sciences of Food, Veterinary Medicine and Natural Resources (LIFE) at the University of Copenhagen.
The association's work consists in bringing together students from different years through professional and social events, and to represent the study area student politics in the different educational policy committee of faculty and to be the link between education and business.
The association is a serious undertaking with active members from all grades and is entirely run by students with a Board of Directors elected at the annual Annual Meeting and a sea of open committees which jointly operate FB in everyday life. FB consist s of over 160 members, where over 40 people are active in the various committees.
Academic and social events
It organizes regular events of different kinds of members. For the past year's events include lectures, inter alia, Asger Høeg (Director of the Exploratorium) and Lone Frank (author and science journalist), visits to the brewery Skovlyst, cottage trips, Christmas parties and more. These events planned by the committee BISS.
Student Political representation
CA speaks the student's case for study activities, including quality of teaching, course offerings and curricula. FB has entries in 5 Education Committee, Board of Studies, DSR and other relevant committees of Life. The student political activities coordinated FB Education FBR.
The switch to business
FB is weighted very highly to have close contact with business so that companies on the one hand, have the ability to recruit both graduates and students for student jobs and project writing and on the other hand ensure cooperation that this relative new program will be known in the broad business community.
FB has a PR Committee, which act as intermediaries between the business community and members.

How do I register?
To become a member of FB, you must study Biology at LIFE. FB has partnered with the union agricultural graduates (YES). When you join in CA, you will therefore also a member of YES and DSR (The Students' Council) at Life. The membership is quarterly 198.00 (€ can be tax deductible if you have min. 1 hour of paid work per year).
