Training
Training sessions typically starts with a brief warm up followed by either technical or tactical exercises. Afterwards the coach sets teams to play test matches.
Amager Badminton Club cooperates with International House, why we often have a lot of expats at our team. Therefore the training is often conducted in English.
Due to a large influx of new players to the team and a greater variation in level among the players, we decided to divide the Sunday training into two levels from season 2016/2017. That is to accommodate the need of all, so there is a place for those who has to learn the basics of badminton and also for those who know the basics but needs to develop their existing play. Our coaches decide who participates on the A and B training. The Wednesday training is not divided.
Training hours
In the season 2016/2017 we offer the following trainings:
Wednesday 19.30-21.00*
Wednesday 21.00-22.30*
Sunday 17.00-18.30 (A training)
Sunday 18.30-20.00 (B training)
*On wednesday the training time shifts every week, so:
Team I train early in uneven weeks, and late in even weeks
Team II train early in even weeks, and late in uneven weeks.
It is possible to play both Wednesday and Sunday or just one of the days.
