While the financial crises are continuing in the western world it gets more and more difficult for us to raise support towards the most important work in the world - to preach the Gospel. And for the second time this year we had a car accident. It’s the Ramadan and in Ilagala the Imam and also head of the Village welcomed us with the words "Praise to Jesus!"
Ilagala is a very dusty village far away from Arusha and has no luxury at all. I could taste the dust; the air was heavy and warm, the smell indescribable. Men, women and children stormed towards the platform, their faces marked with fear, suffering and lots of pain. Their cheeks wet from many tears and their cries to God was desperate. My heart is heavy and it is difficult not to weep, I want so bad to help these "forgotten" people, but can I? I pray in Jesus name and when I do that the power of God brakes through. The demons are angry, they scream and become violent - the platform become a battle field of wounded and dying people, but suddenly the people laying there raises up and they are free!
One elderly lady comes running, she is married to one of the Pastors sitting on the platform. She has been sick for many years and not able to leave her hut. But because of the powerful sound system she can hear me preach - and suddenly Jesus comes to her and she is totally healed, she gets up and runs to the crusade site. It's not possible to stop her and the praise to Jesus from 7000 people can be heard far away.
One mans face was lightened with joy and the words came rushing from his mouth like a flood. He lived far away and had left his blind wife at home and on her behalf he went for prayer. After he had been prayed for he called his wife and she says that she is healed and can see again!!!
Suddenly a little boy appeared in front of me totally stunned and said: “I am so surprised that Jesus healed me!"
A woman with a big tumor growing in her stomach came forward and we were watching while the tumor got smaller and smaller and finally disappeared, only a small wrinkle was left.
What are most important are all the people who receive Jesus as their Savior and experience a change in their lives. 2124 precious people in Ilagala were registered as new born Christians and we know there is great joy in the small dirt huts and also the angles in heaven are rejoicing - will you rejoice with us?
We are scraping the "bottom" of our moneybox and therefor we are very thankful to those of you who makes it possible for us to go out and preach the Gospel every month. THANK YOU!!!!!!
